City of Houston 2023 Open Enrollment is February 27 - March 27. As part of HROne, Human Resources is implementing Employee Central and Benefitplace. - these replace the current Employee Self Service portal. The Fund’s actuary has determined the COLA will be 4%. Members age 55+ & those receiving general disability benefits will see their monthly amount increase by 4% beginning with the October 31st benefit payment.

Despite global conflict and financial turmoil, preliminary performance results show HFRRF achieved a positive return in FY22. Today, the 1st Court of Appeals issued their ruling regarding SB2190 determining that SB2190 is constitutional. The HFRRF Board believes that the District Court ruling was correct and intends to appeal to the Texas Supreme Court.

Thanks to the amazing achievements of the HFRRF Investment Team, HFRRF is pleased to announce the new interest rate for DROP/PROP will be 6.1% effective September 1, 2022.
