There are quite a few HFD members who are interested in automobiles. There are many varieties of enthusiast. You may like full on customs or muscle cars. It may be drag racing, NASCAR or just a nice lookin’ ride. Knowing that many of you are interested in and own cars and trucks, I thought I would test the waters for the possibility of starting an HFD car club. I’ve done a little research on the internet and have not found a single organized firefighter car club in theUSA. There are numerous biker clubs but nothing for the car nut.
I think it would be cool to organize some Rod Runs and car shows. If you are interested in organizing such a club, contact me at russell.harrise68@sbcglobal.net. Provide your name, email address, phone numbers and your thoughts on the idea. One very important issue in my mind is to include HFD retirees in this club.
